Your website can be optimized better. How do I know this? Because the only thing constant is change. User trends change so your website should change with them. Heatmaps can help track user behavior and give you insights on how to better optimize the site's layout and content.
There are a variety of websites that provide heatmaps tools. Two of the most well-known are Hotjar and Lucky Orange. Both provide similar insights and features....

Whether I'm looking for metadata on a webpage, troubleshooting Google tag implementations, or proofing content, Chrome extensions make my life so much easier.
For example, a few months ago I learned about an extension called Detailed SEO (details below). Thanks to this tool, instead of spending an hour using several convoluted processes to find key on-page SEO information, I suddenly had a trove of valuable insights with one click.

I can't live without "Vidyard" to make videos and share my screen with ease. I also use "Awesome Screenshot" when I want full-page screenshots.

I bet the word "free" just got your attention. As a customer, something about that small 4-letter word brings about the exciting feeling of a Christmas morning. However, as a business owner, it screams RED FLAG. Isn’t that interesting? Now, when I speak of free I mean it costs nothing financially or information-wise. Yet, we want to hide content behind logins and gated content more often than not. What we often forget is the value that...

Came across this site today: https://www.titan.com/join-now. I initially liked the user experience on this landing page with the video orientation, because the video is a familiar ratio to mobile… until I checked mobile and IT WASN’T THERE ANYMORE. However, I think exploring videos in this ratio (on desktop AND mobile) may be something we will see more in the future. What do y'all think?

It is crazy that the video disappears on mobile because it would have been a perfect experience for mobile users! I think this ratio will be utilized more and more as we become accustomed to videos in portrait orientation on social media platforms like Instagram and Tik Tok. It is becoming more commonplace. Although, it brings about the age-old argument of "should the picture/video be landscape or portrait?"
It also makes me question digital real estate. If the video took the whole screen on mobile then it potentially pushes the form down even further. However, if the video is engaging then that full screen can be immersive. With this new look, we should make sure to include a down arrow on the screen so users know to scroll to see more. Imagine clicking a link, seeing a video, thinking "huh, that is it," and exiting out because you didn't know what was below. There are pros and cons to everything.
Curious to see what is yet to come.
