It’s incredibly important to us here at IMPACT to continue to educate you all on They Ask, You Answer, but it’s not about what WE think you want/need.
It’s about what YOU all actually want/need.

Can we see an organized list of all of your content so we can provide you some feedback on this? Dates of when they originated and updated would be good too. This would be very helpful and generate more ideas.
Did you know that using content as part of your sales process typically improves close rates between 6-20%?(see ref in comments)That means if you talk to 100 qualified leads that you could get 12 more closes on average!! Ummm, yes please.Anything that gives me that kind of lift is going on my "have to figure this out" list.So here is the layout of how to get started:1. List the top 5 questions people have when they get on the phone with...

Yes, That’s a common result of assignment selling.

The only thing I would add would be an 80% video.

But I would test many types of subject lines, email content, and links to your content to improve opens and conversions.
We've been working on a refresh of our website for a while, and after Brian Casey 's excellent throwdown of the site on Monday, I tweaked some things to apply his suggestions. Stephanie Baiocchi mentioned posting here when we had something to show. I would love feedback from anyone and everyone. I'm really trying to incorporate both TAYA and Storybrand into this update. Hopefully, this displays okay for you. It's basically a big jpeg...

It takes a lot to get constructive feedback and then implement change. Good for you!
Hi all. Im new to the community so bear with me please. :)After reading TAYA, and other resources, I realize that being a one man marketing team is not going to be very sustainable. I was hired 3 years ago, in a 20 year old company, with a steady growth, but a renewed strategy, and as company relatively new to inbound methodology. We are about 45 employees, 2 new biz sales reps, (including sales manager), and 3 account managers), and 1...

I feel your pain and thought process. We grew it organically. I began writing the content. 6 months in, and once we showed success, added a part time content person, then, took them full time while adding a videographer, then it just grew to full time positions while adding additional team members.

5 years later we have a fully functional content team.

This is not a sprint, but a marathon.

Is your business, going to still be running 3 years from now or 5 years from now? A content team should be a long-term plan.
Right now our pages are not getting indexed, or are getting indexed very slowly. What can we do to expedite this process? The Guardian is a well-known news publisher that gets indexed on Google the same or next day for every new page they make. We need help with a process to get indexed in a similar manner for our content marketing campaign.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for all your help.

This seems very odd. I don’t know of any other keywords or pages that are not getting indexed on Google. Have you submitted each of them through Google’s search console? We submit them daily for multiple sites and they work flawlessly.
I had this pop up in my email just now. I've never seen a company do this before in their email marketing, and it really made me stop and take notice. Maybe something useful for those who send out holiday marketing campaigns. Being decent human beings is a good practice all the time, even in our marketing.

It did it's job. You opened it and you took notice... ;)
We annually review our data in our CRM to see if the data is accurate, dedupe, merge records, and look for bad behavior from our integrations and our staff that touch it. Does anyone have any best practices to share on cleaning up your data so that it can be used by your marketing automation tools?

Hi Mary, Ours is on Hubspot too. I use a variety of reports and tools. I use Hubspot for inbound leads, content attribution, and analytics; Google Analytics for traffic analysis; SEMrush for keword, domain, and competitive research; and then I built a dashboard in Google Sheets for KPIs. I hope that helps.
Kevin Church shared this great article from The Verge about Google's recent move to better integrate MUM into their organic search algorithm

What does this mean for you? It means context will play a larger role in the categorization and ranking of search content!! Further, websites that cover topics in a more in-depth content structure (*cough cough* They Ask, You Answer *cough cough*) are going to benefit and see a boost in their rankings...

I don't see it boosting ranking and performance (time will tell), but I see MUM making the user experience more focused and providing more relevant content. A better user experience which Google is constantly improving. Something I do see here is that we should be very specific with our They Ask, You Answer content questions and very thorough in our answers.
I recently finished reading Oren Klaff's book Flip the Script and it's been on my mind for days as I tried to separate the useful bits of strategy from the stories and examples that made my blood boil. (His other book, Pitch Anything, is still on my list...)Which got me wondering a few things...1. Have you read this book? Did you feel the same way? Is it just me?2. What's the worst business book you've ever read and why? How about the...

If you haven't experienced this problem, you will, and it's coming. Hopefully, you can prepare for it. I wasn't and I am dealing with it now. Or maybe you've gone through it and you can provide me some additional consult.Let me explain. We started our relationship with Marcus over 3 1/2 years ago and have continued strengthening our content strategy with the rest of the iMPACT team the last few years. We have been so successful at what we've...

Most of us should be creating similar content in written and video form. We recently compared the successes of our blogs vs. videos. We discovered a few videos with similar KWs to our blogs that weren't performing at the same level. The traffic volume wasn't getting the same results in Google Search vs. YouTube views. At a closer look, we found there was an issue with our implementation on YouTube of these specific videos. A quick update to...

Good morning all!I'm new to TAYA, and unfortunately am constantly struggling with the Vidyard app. After recording videos, the app freezes and become unresponsive. I've removed and reinstalled the app with the same results.iPhone 11 Pro MaxIs there a better video service solution? With this being so new to me, I just feel demoralized because I'm fighting the technology every step of the way...

We have been using the desktop app for months now and it works great. Also, try their support team. They are pretty good and resourceful.

I've heard A LOT of clever buy-in tactics from leaders trying to "earn" their sales teams' attention. What is ONE THING you've done that successfully earned more sales team buy-in?

Ask, listen, and then build content that they actually see the value of so that they adopt using it. Include them in the entire creative process so they take ownership of the content as if it was their own.

About a year ago we moved from an industry CRM to SalesForce. We have been using HubSpot for much longer. We have integrated the two, but we would be very interested in discussing and networking to learn some best practices of this integration. We have also integrated our platform with ZoomInfo and would be happy to share that too.
