Let's get geeky! When you are going through your Search Console and looking at the Performance Section, how do you know if there is an anomaly? Google will tell you!

More importantly, Google publishes any event in Search Console that could affect your report data. Let's say they change their data aggregation methods or there was a logging error. In situations like those, you might see a dip or bump in your chart.

Your website can be optimized better. How do I know this? Because the only thing constant is change. User trends change so your website should change with them. Heatmaps can help track user behavior and give you insights on how to better optimize the site's layout and content.

There are a variety of websites that provide heatmaps tools. Two of the most well-known are Hotjar and Lucky Orange. Both provide similar insights and features....

I agree! there are plenty of tools out there but the best ones are Lucky Orange and HotJar. I used to like HotJar more due to the general UI/UX but Lucky Orange I've come to find is truly the easiest one to work with. They have also revamped their UI/UX from the Classic version to the current version and its a game changer.
HubSpot recently updated the SEO recommendations section (under Marketing > Website > SEO) in HubSpot. Thanks to Jessica Palmeri for bringing to my attention!

Has anyone had a chance to check this out?

Here are a couple of HubSpot Knowledge Base articles, if you haven't.
What are your thoughts and feelings on this update?

I love the way they break down the difficulty and SEO impact levels! This makes it easier to fix and maintain your on page seo.
Did you know that nearly 80% of US consumers say speed, convenience, knowledgeable help, and friendly service are the most important elements of a positive customer experience?

According to a PWC study:
"Customers expect technology to always work (and are unlikely to take note of new
technology unless it malfunctions or interrupts the seamless, friendly experience).
They want the design of websites and mobile apps to be elegant and...

There are hundreds of tools out there that can give you different user behavior data, and each have a different subset of features like click mapping, scroll mapping, different survey options, and much more.
I'm a huge fan of Lucky Orange for a few reasons - the biggest being the "Top 10" feature that immediately highlights, and exports, the most interacted areas of any web page. It's been a big help in expediting user journey improvements....

I agree!
Yes? Are you using the Google Business Profile? What else are you using to keep your community informed of your business, hours of operation, promotions, etc?

Came across this site today: https://www.titan.com/join-now. I initially liked the user experience on this landing page with the video orientation, because the video is a familiar ratio to mobile… until I checked mobile and IT WASN’T THERE ANYMORE. However, I think exploring videos in this ratio (on desktop AND mobile) may be something we will see more in the future. What do y'all think?

I agree! I liked their landing page experience with the video on vertical.
News from web world! At the end of September, Google announced five changes coming soon to mobile search:
  • Google Search Shortcuts: On the Google app for all iOS, you'll have tappable search shortcuts that help you search beyond typing in a text query.
  • Results in the Search Bar: Google will start populating results as you type, before you even hit submit, to get you to an answer faster.
  • Enhanced Query Refinements: When you type in your...

I agree, I think that combining text, images, and videos on the same result page can be unnecessary. I also think that their Google Web Stories is probably one way to combat TikTok and the organic search traffic that it's taken away from Google with searches like the ones you mentioned. It will be hard to compete there I think.
Self-awareness is not the answer.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great thing to notice things about your actions. That gets you to a place where you can make a new choice.
But too many of us are stopping there!
Instead, take the next step and work through those callouses that have grown hard in your day.
Break some new ground on a habit you've been trying to improve. Become a rockstar improver (that's a word, I swear)

You are right! It's sometimes easier to continue doing what feels "normal" rather than taking a step back, observing, and adjusting. It's similar to the phrase "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome"
Greetings IMPACT fam!

A question for google analytics users using google analytics 4.

I just integrated GA 4 with our HubSpot website. And the image below pooped up.

Do you recommend doing this?

Why or why not?Is it necessary if we have a consent pop up set up on our website already?

Hey Nathan,

I would set this up to be mindful of a visitor's preference. According to Google: "Consent Mode enables you to optimize for business goals while respecting the privacy choices of visitors. When visitors deny consent, instead of storing cookies, tags send signals (or pings) to Google. If you are using Google Analytics 4, Google fills the data collection gaps with Conversion Models."
