Has Anyone Integrated HubSpot with SalesForce? Have some Best Practices to Share?

HubSpot HubSpot
About a year ago we moved from an industry CRM to SalesForce. We have been using HubSpot for much longer. We have integrated the two, but we would be very interested in discussing and networking to learn some best practices of this integration. We have also integrated our platform with ZoomInfo and would be happy to share that too.

I know that  Bri Stauffer and  Alex Schultz  over at AES use Hubspot for marketing and SalesForce for sales. They do a pretty good job of making it work.

Hey  Keven Ellison  - We integrated HubSpot with Salesforce back in about 2012/13. With your current integration, is your sales team fully using Salesforce as their 'sole source of truth' or are they also referencing HubSpot? If I understand how your team uses it, that will help make sure my thoughts are relevant to you :)

Bri, thanks! Sales is using it for their sole source now. They do see the HS information in the contact records now. We have a pretty good one way integration now. I just need SalesForce to pass back to HubSpot the deal information so I can start tracking content revenue.

That's exactly how our team works as well - Salesforce is the sole source for sales. We linked our SF deals into HubSpot last year. It's a little intimidating to add another layer of connection between the two, but it's necessary to more easily look at ROI of content! We also recently went to HubSpot marketing enterprise, so that gives an additional layer of seeing the revenue attribution.

Our biggest hurdle right now with using the two systems is cleaning up a lot of old data and merging duplicates across the databases to make sure sales can see the full picture for a contact/lead from Salesforce.

Hey Keven, I'm a little late to the game here, but we've integrated HS and SF several times with two enterprise integrations in the last 4 months. The answer is YES! You need a solid integration plan to understand the sales process, which platform will be used for what communications, whether HS or SF will be the platform or record, what fields need to be mapped, etc. Happy to share if you still have questions.

Omi, thanks! We have the integration in place, just not quite complete yet. I think iMPACT will be helping us finish it up. I may reach out to you with some questions. Appreciate it!
