Last week we published a versus article and the competitor we included sent a formal letter to our company's founder/president requesting we either remove the post or make their "requested corrections."

While we had one factually incorrect item within the piece, the bulk of their asks were clearly to have us use their wording instead of our own.

I'm very confident in how we'll respond and address it, and leadership fully backs up what we're doing (very thankful for this)!

At our company we recently made the decision to have every employee participate in the content production process in some way.

Outside of the Revenue Team, I've been trying to find folks in-house that may have a leaning towards writing and can either be relied on to be writing their own articles over time (or the bulk of a piece with guidance and editing) or even potentially ghost writing for others.

How have you gone about finding the writers at your organization outside your general SME pool or folks that it falls under their responsibilities?

We're a new 'start up' Velvet Platform and of course, we're going to start an email newsletter - that is all sorted.

I am the COO and 'champion and voice of the company.'

My idea was the weekly email newsletter would come from an email with my name eg bernie@companyname or bjm@compnayname.

Not for my ego, but to get a personal connection with people.

I've been emailing people non-stop for over a decade on email newsletters and unless I'm doing it for someone else I always my name in the email address.

The process The email newsletter will get sent from HubSpot and then I'd be able to ask people to hit reply.

We've been struggling to measure the performance of all the great content we're developing. I have 2 questions:

1. I'm curious to hear what others are currently tracking and measuring!
2. We're using HubSpot, and we have content in our blog (in both English and French), as well as longer form content built in web pages and landing pages (case studies, ultimate guides). This may be a rookie question, but does anyone know how we can build reporting across the blog + web pages + landing pages to identify the best performing pieces? I know there's reporting available for the top performing blog articles, but we want to capture metrics from our landing pages and web pages too. Being able to define the value of every interaction from prospect to customer with a hard dollar amount... Priceless if you ask me. This is a game-changer IMO. What is the value in dollars of a phone call? A blog view? An email? well, now you can answer those questions with precision.

Today Wix and Google announced they'll be partnering up to create an integration directly within the platform. This seems like a fantastic opportunity for individuals and small business owners using Wix to manage their websites in order to be more apparent in Google search performance as well as managing things such as Maps and reviews.

It will also create an integrated experience for dashboards and data collection, including views on GMB, search performance, and CTAs from a GMD page such as phone number, website, and directions to a location.

This seems like a big deal for Wix website users, what are your thoughts? Does this make Wix more desirable or still sticking with other website platforms? See More
